There are not a lot of appearances/performances this week but the one we do have is definitely a must see!!

  • Girls Night Out: Superstar Women of Country airs Friday, 4/22 and will have performances by The Judds, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, and Carrie Underwood.  Special appearances by Jason Aldean, Ronnie Dunn, Vince Gill, Rascal Flatts, and Blake Shelton.

I definitely already have this set to record, do you?

The Awards Show is by far what I won’t be missing this week! What will you be watching?

  • The Academy of Country Music Awards are on tonight! Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton are hosting, with lots of great artists performing.
  • Conversations From the Road: Sugarland will premiere on Monday, 4/4.
  • Carrie Underwood will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno promoting her movie Soul Surfer on Wednesday, 4/6.
  • Good Morning America will have a segment on Naomi & Wynonna Judd on Thursday, 4/7.
  • Naomi & Wynonna Judd will also make an appearance on The View on Thursday, 4/7.
  • The Ellen DeGeneres Show has an appearance by Carrie Underwood on Thursday, 4/7 as well as a performance by Josh Kelley.

Slim pickings this week on the country television front. Anything in particular you are looking forward to watching?

  • Origins: Luke Bryan will be showing on GAC on Wednesday, 10/20.
  • On Opry Live this Wednesday, 10/20 Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Jake Owen and Rodney Atkins will be performing.
  • Jamey Johnson performs on the Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday, 10/20.
  • On Good Morning America, Thursday, 10/21, The Judds will be interviewed as well as perform.
  • Dierks Bentley will be on Live with Regis & Kelly Thursday, 10/21.
  • Ellen DeGeneres Show will have Kellie Pickler as her guest on Thursday, 10/21.
  • Sugarland performs on the Today Show on Friday, 10/22.
  • The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will have Trace Adkins performing on Friday, 10/22.

Lots of stuff coming on TV this week so get your TiVo remotes ready y’all! The fall season is gearing up and lots of shows are premiering with some of our favorite country artists.  Here’s the lineup:

  • Keep an eye out for Taylor Swift on the 2010 MTV Music Awards tonight on MTV.  She’s up for Best Female Video.  Wish her luck!!
  • The Judds will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show Tuesday, 9/14 where they will be interviewed, perform as well as giving the audience a tour of their Tennessee farm.
  • The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will feature a performance by Trace Adkins on Tuesday, 9/14.
  • A tribute to George Jones will be shown on GAC’s Soundstage Wednesday, 9/15 featuring artists Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Trick Pony, Vince Gill, Wynonna, Amy Grant, Martina McBride, Kenny Chesney, Lorrie Morgan and George Jones himself.
  • Trace Adkins will also be performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, 9/15.
  • Luke Bryan will be featured in GAC’s Origins on Thursday, 9/16.
  • On Friday, 9/17, GAC will be airing Pass the Jar: Zac Brown Band and Friends. Check it out! It’s a concert in Atlanta’s Fox Theater.
  • Jamey Johnson discusses his 2010 CD on GAC’s Jamey Johnson: The Guitar Song on Saturday, 9/18.
