Brooke Jeter and a Giveaway!

You guys know I am a fan of CMT’s show Texas Women. The girls crack me up. They are each so different and unique, yet I can relate to each of them. When Brooke took a look at our site she immediately fell in love with the Old Gringo boots. They are top on my list as well. Well made, stylish, classic yet edgy – they are amazing. Then she told me that Lucky jeans are one of her favorites because they fit her so well….and I am the exact same. They are my go to jean. I knew I loved Brooke. Now I just need to get her and Ali to come hang out in OKC with me! Brooke and I decided it would be fun to share the love and give one of you a pair of Old Gringo Boots!

Brooke is wearing Old Gringo Women’s Nevada Cowboy Boots and Lucky Brand Women’s Sofia Boot Jeans and a tee from her Material Cowgirl line. (how cute are these tees! I want the boxing glove one!)

Texas Women

Did you guys see that Texas Women is back!?!? First of all, that elevator in Hannah and Anna’s new place would drive me nuts!!!! But I was loving Hannah’s long sleeve white burn out tee. We have several tees that are similar to the one she wore. My pick for today is this Cowgirl Justice Women’s “Let’s Get Western” Long Sleeve Burn Out Stripe T-Shirt.

The girls added a new face to the mix both with Ali’s adorable boyfriend and their friend Cicily. Cicily cracked me up. She had lots of great one liners. What was up with that “Drunky Drunkledorf” scene, to use Ali’s phrase. That was crazy. But I loved how Anna and Ali worked it out. Much more level headed than the Hannah/Brooke thing – but they kind of started to work that out to in this episode. What other fashion caught my eye…I loved Brooke’s cami/sweater combo in the roping scene and I loved Ali’s jeans later on. They looked like Rock and Roll Cowgirl jeans to me but I am not sure which ones.

Towards the end of the first episode Brooke talks to her hubs about the snoring. Her boots were brown with blue stitching and reminded me of these Ariat Women’s Heritage Western R Toe Boots.

Are you guys excited for this season? I know I am. These girls are always fun to watch, both for their adventures and their fashion!

Texas Women

First up…congrats to Jennifer the winner of our Cindy Smith necklace giveaway!!!!!  And now, on to the recap…the season finale.

Brooke and Ali spent some time in the Fort Worth Stockyards looking for a bar to host Ali’s CD release party…and on that search Ali wore this Tab Sleeve Plaid Snap Shirt by Southern Thread.

What was that deal with the mouse on cat on dog?!?!?!?!?  I really have no words for that. And the old man making cat calls at the girls cracked me up.  As far as the actual party, it looked like a good time was had by all. I didn’t see Brooke dance on any speakers, but maybe that is for the best. Have you guys bought Ali’s single yet?  World’s Gone Crazy is now available on iTunes as of yesterday.

Speaking of that show, there was a shot of a girl walking into it wearing these Seagreen Justin Bent Rail Boots.

What about the rest of the episode? I thought Brooke’s hubs giving her a horse was sweet. She kind of got a bad rap on this show, but this episode really showed her helping Ali and I think there is more to Brooke than we saw here.

Hannah got a call from the hair ninja and it looks like her modeling career is going to happen. One thing that perplexed me was her hair during the show. We kept going from short to long and back again. I know, editing a show and things get out of order, but still. Keep it on the shorter side Hannah…it is so pretty on you!

Anna ended the show headed up our way to Oklahoma. We hope she will come visit us while she is here. In fact, we hope all the Texas Women will! Miss Ali Dee said she wants to play cities all over…maybe we can sweet talk her into a stop here to see us.

Well, that is it for this season. Thanks for playing along with my fashion recaps!

Nine as in Nancy

There was no way I wasn’t using that as the post title today. If you watched Texas Women last night you heard Hannah use this line while trying to give her credit card to the florist. That lady was just not getting it. Too funny. Let’s just start there with the recap and jump around some shall we?

I thought Hannah deciding not to go was a good call. She said she didn’t want to make the party about her by going and having some sort of drama happen. I think sending flowers was totally sweet and nice. Speaking of the anniversary party, I loved both Brooke’s sort of studded top and Ali Dee’s floral dress. I can’t really tie them to anything in the store right now…but on with the recap anyway!

I was so sad for Anna and her missing dog. About halfway through the search I turned to my husband and said, “if that dog shows up right now, I am going to think some CMT intern had her and that this was all for show.” Then I saw how upset Anna was, and I kind of wished the intern thing was true, but of course it wasn’t and her sweet dog is gone. Sad. Not to turn and make this about fashion, but come on, you are on a western wear fashion blog – I think Anna was wearing Miss Me jeans on her search mission. They were a flap pocket jean similar to any of these Miss Me Jeans.

Brooke did a little anniversary shopping in this episode. She wanted to stay under $10,000. That budget sounds nice, but mine is more in the $25 range. Lucky for me we had a TON of new stuff hit the shelves this week.  Two of my favs…

This Turquoise and Silver necklace by Cindy Smith seems so Anna to me. Love it.

And I could totally see Ali Dee (does anyone else always call her Ali Dee? I never just say Ali) in this four strand necklace also by Cindy Smith.

Hannah’s parents came to town. She mentioned a while back that they live in Edmond which is north OKC, so they are in our neck of the woods. Her little sister was rocking some boots that looked to be these Ariat Legend Square Toe ones.

Best line in the entire show, well, besides the “Nine as in Nancy” one… Hannah was asking her dad if he was proud of her for following her dreams. His answer, “Ride her till she bucks you.” Solid advice.

Thanks guys for following along in this mash up of a recap. The previews for next week look great and I think I saw Ali Dee in a Southern Thread shirt. More on that next week….

Texas Women

Did you guys watch Texas Women last night? I have to say, I laughed out loud at several moments. Hannah giving lip to Brooke made me crack up. I know a lot of it is editing, but still, hating on her shorts and her horses made me laugh. Hannah and Brooke needs some serious couples therapy. I think we can skip the recap on taking a, um, sample from the bulls right? Let’s move right on into Anna and the cowboy….

That guy trying to date Anna? Where do I start!?!?!? I hate date bets. Go out with me if I do this. Bleh. So cheesy. Before we get to the date, boots. I think he was wearing Justin Tekno Crepe boots – not the patch work ones he rode in, the ones he took off to put those on. They looked like this…

Ok. They didn’t look exactly like different colors. But they were Ostrich and they looked like Justin to me. By the way, the Tekno Crepe is pretty cool – they are more flexible than other boots and therefore more comfortable. The ones above are  the Men’s Full Quill Ostrich Cowboy Boots with Tekno Crepe™ Sole in Cognac, and here is the full line of Justin Tekno Crepe Boots.

The date…oh the date. It was so painful to watch. Anna saying that it felt like she was on a date with her younger brother….ouch. Also not a good sign if you are singing to a girl and she is guzzling her wine. Best line ever…”sister isn’t wearing any socks, but even if I was, they wouldn’t have been knocked off.”  The dress she was rocking was pretty hot….to hot for that bad date!

Both Hannah and Anna sported some military style hats in this episode. The Radar Cap by Cruel Girl is pretty close in style to the ones they both wore.

Miss Ali Dee got herself a producer! Yea!! Good old Pappy. He seems like a good guy and that he will help her succeed. During her recording session she had on a ruffled plaid shirt with a big leather belt. Her shirt was sleeveless, but here is a long sleeve option by Panhandle Slim. Their Women’s Long Sleeve Plaid Dress with Rhinestones in Red could be worn over jeggings and belted for a similar look.

That’s about it for this week. Let me know your thoughts on the show.

Texas Women

You guys, I am so upset. I wasn’t able to watch Texas Women last night. I have it on my DVR and will catch up in a few days. Right now I am off to Denver to enjoy some cooler temps for a few days. When a high of 90 is considered cooler, that is a problem! But it is a good 15 degrees cooler than the current highs in OKC right now. I love summer but seeing things like these tops at the store make me long for Fall. How pretty is this yellow/marigold color?

Cruel Girl Women’s V-Neck Burnout T-Shirt – Marigold, Cruel Girl Women’s Long Sleeve V-Neck Burnout T-Shirt – Marigold

This weekend is Tax Free in OKC….look for the website to go tax free as well later today. Time to stock up for Fall!

Have a great weekend you guys…and fill me in on what I missed last night!

Pool Party

I seem to be up before the CMT peeps, they haven’t posted any pics from last night’s episode of Texas Women yet on their site. Never fear, even without the pics from the show, I can help you get that Texas Women look!

Fashion wise, our girl Ali Dee was of course the one to watch since she was doing a photo shoot for her upcoming CD. Hannah did a great job styling her. When that girl wants to be productive, she totally can be. But when she doesn’t…well, matches as Tikki Torches? That was weak. Anyway, back to fashion.

For the photo shoot Ali had 2 looks. One was a western snap shirt inspired dress with almost a bubble skirt on it. Very sweet and country and perfect. She paired it with low boots. To create a similar look on your own, try either the Dingo Women’s Twisted Sister 7″ Belted Boot or the Dingo Women’s Adobe Rose 7″ Boots with Side Zipper.

In this episode Ali also tried to barrel race. Brooke was a very sweet and supportive teacher. I think she could have pushed Ali even further. Looks like under her guidance they could have tried a jog verses just walking. It was hard to get a good look, but I think Ali was wearing jeans with a detailed flap pocket. My pick are these Rock and Roll Cowgirl Women’s Low Rise Boot Cut Jeans with Rhinestone Flaps.

At the pool party Anna rocked a mini similar to this Rock and Roll Cowgirl Women’s Denim Mini Skirt with Rhinestones and Pocket Flaps.

Fashion wise that kind of sums up the episode. We carry a wide variety of items, but swim wear isn’t among them. I do think Anna’s camo/floral bikini was great. It totally fits her personality.  Overall it was a sweet episode. Brooke was a doll teaching Ali to race, Hannah was sweet helping out for the party – well, not at first, but in the end she was. Anna was a sweet hostess and Ali was sweet bringing the girls a Slip in Slide as a housewarming gift. Everyone was sweet and nice this week. No major drama.

Ooops, I almost forgot the best scene….when Anna is in the hunting blind and her friend is telling her to be quiet and that “this is why women aren’t allowed in the blinds” and then he knocks over a shell and makes a bunch of noise. LOL. Next time she hunts, Anna needs to rock these Justin Women’s Camouflage Cowboy Boots.

See you guys next week for more Texas Women.

What will you be watching?

Texas Women

Did you guys watch last night? What did you think? I think miss Hannah needs a J-O-B! At least she was learning to cook, that’s something. But still. Girl needs to get working. I was impressed with Brooke’s barrel racing. Even if she didn’t have a great run, it is always great to see someone working hard at something they love.

Brooke said that you need to wear long sleeve shirts when you race…to keep it classy. Love that line. Here is my suggestion for her next run. She could totally rock this look.

Panhandle Slim Women’s Long Sleeve Zebra Burnout T-Shirt with Fluer de Lis Print. Also avaiable in White.

Anna is quickly becoming my favorite. That girl seems to have her stuff together. She had a few looks last night that were cute, but the one that caught my eye the most was the bright colored western snap shirt she wore at the rodeo. Of course, I can’t find a picture. Sorry. Here is my pick off our site…

Panhandle Slim Retro Women’s Western Long Sleeve Solid Snap Shirt with Floral and Heart Embroidery

Ali had it rough with no one calling into the radio station about her song, but honestly – I think it is a pretty good song. What do you think? On stage she rocked some jeggings with heels, and at the radio station she paired them with boots. Loved both looks.

Did I mention these Levi’s ® 535 ™ Denim Legging are on sale for $17.99 right now!?!?!??!!??!!?

So what do you think? Will you keep watching this show? I have a hard time stopping mid season once I have started. I get sucked in. What about the show right before it? Sweet Home Alabama? Have you seen that one? Should I be watching it?
