October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and it is traditionally marked with pink. I would be remiss if I let the month pass without posting a round up of pink.

Up this week in our employee picks series, Sandra. Sandra picked one of my all time favorite boots to feature in this outfit. The Ariat Women’s Shada 10″ Cowboy Boots in Peanut Briddle have been on my wish list all year. Not only are they stylish, but they are made with the ATS ™ technology which helps reduce weakness in the foot and cushions the foot for a more comfortable fit. Sandra said she picked these boots because they go great with the natural multi print of the shirt.

 Speaking of that shirt, Beachcomber Lizzer Gauze Top by Lucky Brand. This 100% cotton top is easy to wear from both a style and a comfort standpoint. Sandra said, “The shirt is simple but flirty, very comfortable and love natural multi print.”

 For the jeans, Sandra picked Cruel Girl Women’s Alysa Low Rise Slim Boot Leg Jeans. When asked why, she said, “These jeans are so cute. I love the medium stonewash color and especially the fading in it.”

 Finishing off the look is this Silver Tone 4 strand necklace set by Cindy Smith. This silver tone bead necklace comes with matching dangle silver tone bead earrings. “Love the Cindy Smith necklace set and it give the right look you need.” Well said Sandra.

Texas Women

Did you guys watch Texas Women last night? I have to say, I laughed out loud at several moments. Hannah giving lip to Brooke made me crack up. I know a lot of it is editing, but still, hating on her shorts and her horses made me laugh. Hannah and Brooke needs some serious couples therapy. I think we can skip the recap on taking a, um, sample from the bulls right? Let’s move right on into Anna and the cowboy….

That guy trying to date Anna? Where do I start!?!?!? I hate date bets. Go out with me if I do this. Bleh. So cheesy. Before we get to the date, boots. I think he was wearing Justin Tekno Crepe boots – not the patch work ones he rode in, the ones he took off to put those on. They looked like this…

Ok. They didn’t look exactly like different colors. But they were Ostrich and they looked like Justin to me. By the way, the Tekno Crepe is pretty cool – they are more flexible than other boots and therefore more comfortable. The date…oh the date. It was so painful to watch. Anna saying that it felt like she was on a date with her younger brother….ouch. Also not a good sign if you are singing to a girl and she is guzzling her wine. Best line ever…”sister isn’t wearing any socks, but even if I was, they wouldn’t have been knocked off.”  The dress she was rocking was pretty hot….to hot for that bad date!

Both Hannah and Anna sported some military style hats in this episode. The Radar Cap by Cruel Girl is pretty close in style to the ones they both wore.

Miss Ali Dee got herself a producer! Yea!! Good old Pappy. He seems like a good guy and that he will help her succeed. During her recording session she had on a ruffled plaid shirt with a big leather belt. Her shirt was sleeveless, but here is a long sleeve option by Panhandle Slim. Their Women’s Long Sleeve Plaid Dress with Rhinestones in Red could be worn over jeggings and belted for a similar look.

Pink boots for men….well, come on. Yes, real men do wear pink…I can prove it. But probably not pink boots. This Wrangler Men’s 20X Long Sleeve Plaid Western Button Down Shirt can and should be rocked by every man.

Let’s go back to the women… this Rock and Roll Cowgirl Women’s Peasant Top with Cross Embroidery is sure to turn some heads, in a good way!

Texas Women

You guys, I am so upset. I wasn’t able to watch Texas Women last night. I have it on my DVR and will catch up in a few days. Right now I am off to Denver to enjoy some cooler temps for a few days. When a high of 90 is considered cooler, that is a problem! But it is a good 15 degrees cooler than the current highs in OKC right now. I love summer but seeing things like these tops at the store make me long for Fall. How pretty is this yellow/marigold color?
