Blake Shelton has a new album out today called Based on a True Story. This new album comes right on the heels of last night’s season premiere of The Voice. Blake Shelton, three-time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and current Entertainer of the Year, is a busy guy! There are twelve tracks on this album and of course his wife Miranda Lambert and her band The Pistol Annies make an appearance as do some of this other TEAM BLAKE contestants from past seasons of The Voice. There are plenty of upbeat songs as well as ballads.
These are my must listens: Country on the Radio, Mine Would Be You, and I Found Someone.
I’ve Still Got a Finger is PURE Blake humor, so you must listen to that one! And of course his current single Sure Be Cool If You Did is already a hit. So have a listen and tell me which of the songs on this album are your favorites, it was definitely a tough decision picking out just three!

A while back I did a Wear It on Neal McCoy and y’all his album is OUT! It’s called XII! And if you love some good country music, this album is for you. This is McCoy’s first album in seven years and it’s co-produced by none other than Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. The song “Mouth” was written by Jamey Johnson, so you know with all this talent mixed together it’s going to be a good album to listen to because Neal McCoy was obviously not messing around with this one!
