Willie Nelson has a new album out today called Let’s Face the Music and Dance. Willie never lets us down with his new release year after year. This year he turns 80 and is in his 6th decade of recording. If you are a true Willie Nelson fan, you won’t be disappointed by this album. This is the same great Willie sound you are used to mixed with remakes of old songs written by Irving Berlin, Carl Perkins, Frank Loesser and Django Reinhart, and one of his own songs, “Is The Better Part Over.” In addition there are a couple of instrumental songs.
Listen to his own remake of Is the Better Part Over, South of the Border and Walking My Baby Back Home.
I honestly never get tired of listening to Willie Nelson…I have so many of his albums and there is nothing better than turning up a little Willie Nelson for the drive home at the end of a tired day.

I love the heart behind Lane Boots. Their website says, “At Lane Boots, our motto is ‘change your boots, change your life.’Yes, we are known as a fashion forward boot company that brings unique styles and current trends to the western boot market. However, what we really are is a collection of individuals who just love boots. We know that every time you put on a pair of our boots, they will make you feel special. That is why we are here.”
What a great company. They are also dedicated to giving back to schools through Communities in Schools. We are proud to carry this great brand.
Next week our friend Raquel at Horses and Heels is helping us celebrate our 100 year anniversary with a giveaway and Lane Boots might be involved too!!! Check our FB page next week for details!
Lady Antebellum’s latest video Downtown is VERY fun. It’s got all sorts of comedy and craziness. And while you’d think I’d be showcasing the outfit that Hilary Scott wears during her “downtown” extravaganza, I want you to pay close attention to her outfit in the very very beginning. Ready?
Did you see it? I love the drapey top and jeans on her. It looks super cozy and yet that outfit can go day or night depending on accessories. So I’d like to show you an outfit that has that theme…
So during the day I’d do the tunic dress with a cardigan and jeans with those AWESOME purple boots. Going into night time, I’d lose the cardigan and maybe even the jeans, it’s up to you in how comfortable you feel wearing it as a dress as opposed to a tunic.
We have some new releases out this week that I can’t wait to tell you about. First up, Brad Paisley has a new album out today called Wheelhouse. You can get the regular album which has 17 tracks or the deluxe version that has 21! I mean WOW! That’s a lot of music! This is Brad’s 7th studio album and he’s produced it himself. Check out “I Can’t Change the World” and “Karate” for sure.
Next is an EP by Chuck Wicks…I believe the last time we saw Chuck he was on Dancing with the Stars with his then girlfriend Julianne Hough. He’s got some great songs on this EP! Check out “Salt Life” and “Fix Me”.
And lastly, I have the latest track from the Nashville cast. Lennon Stella and Maisy Stella who play Connie Britton’s daughters on the shower did an absolutely impeccable version of The Lumineer’s Ho Hey. Those little girls are AMAZING. Definitely have a listen to that one!
From belt buckles to stunning silver jewelry, Montana Silversmith makes it all. This company has been crafting silver for nearly 40 years. They understand and respect the history that silver jewelry and adornments have throughout our history and they celebrate it.
The quality of their product speaks for itself and their website explains how they achieve it…”Montana Silver products are touched by as many as twenty-five caring sets of hands before they are packaged in blue velvet boxes for presentation.”
We are proud to carry Montanan Silversmith and hope you love it too.
If you look at our new items page, it seem that there is a Spring trend forming.
Lots of pinks, oranges and deep reds. I typically view the reds and oranges as more Fall colors, but I can for sure envision these paired with white denim or cut off shorts as a new Spring trend. What do you think? Are certain colors more suited for certain seasons, or can you mix and match?
We’ve got a new album coming out today that I’m gonna tell you about but I also want to include some music that came out recently that if you aren’t listening to it you need to be!
First up, The Band Perry has a new album out today called Pioneer. You already know one single off this album, Better Dig Two. This is The Band Perry’s second album and they co-wrote 9 of the 12 songs. Check out Back to Me Without You and Chainsaw.
Another album you absolutely need to be aware of is Kacey Musgraves’ Same Trailer Different Park. I touched on this album a bit with the last Wear It post, but you for sure need to get this into your rotation. Listen to Blowin’ Smoke, Step Off, and Silver Lining. This whole album is PHENOMENAL.
The last bit of music I want you to be aware of is a single off the show Nashville. It’s called Stronger than Me and it’s sung by Connie Britton. She does a GREAT job on this song. It’s definitely a must listen.
