Last week Sheryl Crow came out with a full blow country album. It’s her first country album and I gotta say, it’s pretty darn good! It’s called Feels Like Home and it’s pretty traditional. There’s nothing pop country about it. It sorta follows along the lines of a Kacey Musgraves sound, so if you like her, then you’ll like this album for sure.
Crow credits her shift to country to none other than Brad Paisley. She says that he told her that she’d already been making songs like this for a long time and she needed to make an album in the format that she belonged to. She says that when she moved to Nashville that both Vince Gill and Brad Paisley welcomed her into the Nashville scene and made her feel right at home.
Definite must listens on this album are Homesick, Waterproof Mascara, and Callin’ Me When I’m Lonely. You’ll fall in love with Sheryl Crow all over again, she sounds better than ever.
