Personal Recommendation

Of all the items I have bought from us over the years, these Levi’s jeggings might be in the top 5 of things I love.

They are mid rise which is PERFECT. Hear me out. I am usually a low rise kind of gal, but with jeggings, I am typically wearing them with a longer top. So the rise is a comfort thing. And since I am wearing my jeggings with boots over them, I don’t want to be pulling at the all day. It just messes with everything and makes them sag at the knee. Since they are a mid rise, I don’t have to pull at them, they stay tucked in perfectly and look great all day. Plus they are SOFT and with just a tad bit of stretch. I have the black and the deep blue….and I love them both. And they are $44!

Wear It: One Of Those Nights

Tim McGraw has a new video out, One Of Those Nights. Personally I can’t think of a better way to spend the next 4 minutes than by staring at Tim McGraw. What do you say ladies? Let’s check it out!

Sigh. Looking good huh? Ok, so now let’s talk fashion, shall we? While I do love Tim’s consistent black cowboy hat, henley style shirt and jeans or leather pants look, what caught my eye in this video was where he was wearing a scarf and puffy vest. I personally think that is a great look on him. This is how I’d recreate it the Langston’s way…

Men’s Dickies Long Sleeve Solid Pocket Tee Shirt
Tempco Men’s Reversible Bubble Vest
Rock & Roll Cowboy Men’s Pistol Slim Fit Boot Cut Jeans
Pendleton Men’s Merino Knit Muffler – Tan Diamond Desert
Stetson Men’s Handmade Distressed Eagle Underlay Cowboy Boots

So there you have it. Now go buy that outfit for your man!

New Music Releases

I have some updated Holiday music for you. This year is the 25th anniversary of “A Very Special Christmas”, a project that benefits the Special Olympics. The album this year includes many of your favorites such as Rascal Flatts singing “Mary, Did You Know”, Vince Gill singing “Breath of Heaven”, Martina McBride singing “Please Come Home for Christmas”, and Jewel singing “Angels We Have Heard on High” among others. Those are some great ones that aren’t on your typical Christmas album, so go check them out for sure.

Another release that came out this week was Tim McGraw’s “Mary and Joseph”. It’s definitely a must listen to. I love how Tim McGraw does really great “not your typical” Christmas songs. Last year he came out with “Christmas All Over the World”, which has definitely been one of my favorites to listen to over and over.

And I just don’t think it’d be a country Christmas without some Willie Nelson. Willie came out with a new Christmas album this year called “The Classic Christmas Album” and it’s got all of your favs from Rudolph to Jingle Bells and of course includes his famous “Pretty Paper”.

Wear It: Under the Mistletoe

I thought I’d go the festive route this week with our Wear It series. This week we will be talking about SaraBeth’s outfit in her video Under the Mistletoe. This is definitely a fun song and a fun outfit. Check it out.

See what I mean? That’s a rocking Christmas song right? And I’m loving her outfit. So here’s how I’d make that happen the Langston’s way…

Resistol Women’s Rancho Estancia Southwest Striped Off-Shoulder Top
Levi’s ® Women’s Super Skinny Jean Leggings
Cowgirl Up Women’s Quilted Leatherette Zip Vest
Pecos Bill Women’s 12″ Fancy Cowboy Boots with Contrast Embroidery

I LOVE those boots, the stitching and the color and combine them with those jeggings! That’s a hot outfit. You can do a vest or jacket with this depending on how warm it is where you live. This is the perfect outfit for a casual Christmas party. Would you Wear It?

Christmas Duets

I thought I’d throw out some duets that you might not know about that involved some of your favorite country artists. The reason you may not know about these are because they are duets with artists from different genres.

First up duets you may or not know about with some country favs comes off the Elvis Presley Christmas Duets album that came out in 2008. You will find many familiar names on this album for example Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Little Big Town, Wynonna Judd and many more.

The next one I have for you is Justin Bieber and The Band Perry! They did a duet on Bieber’s Christmas album out last year. The duet is called “Home This Christmas”. Though an unlikely pair their voices really do blend well, you should definitely have a listen.

And last, the Jessica Simpson song “Merry Christmas, Baby” featuring Willie Nelson is a keeper for sure. You absolutely must add that to your holiday playlist.

So who else are you listening to this holiday season?
