I love a good sequin. I especially love one I can wear during the day. It is so festive and fun and unexpected. This Adiktd Women’s Short Sleeve Sequined Jersey Top is right up my alley. Add some Miss Me Jeans, a cardigan for warmth and finish it off with Corral Boots.

The Voice
I know, I know…I said no recaps…but I am watching and I just can’t resist getting your thoughts!!! I am kind of glad that 2 Steel Girls lost out to Gracia. It’s not that I didn’t like them, I just like her more. She is adorable. I loved her pink frilly dress. She had matching boots, but in my mind she had these Johnny Ringo ones on instead. How cute would the turquoise/green of these been with that dress?
Casey was sent home. I think he will rock the bars in his area and have a good local career. If you liked his look, we have plenty of shirts similar to the one he wore. This Rockmount Men’s Vintage Floral Western Snap Shirt is great for on stage, but also great for a night out!
Collin was saved by Blake after leaving Team Adam. I think Adam made the right call, but I also think Blake did. I think this is a good place for Collin to be. He might need Blake as his voice coach, but I think he needs to look to Adam for fashion. Well worn jeans, boots and a classic tee are a great look for him and one that Adam often rocks. These Rambler boots by Ariat are one of my favorites and they would be great for Collin.
What were your thoughts? Any favorites so far? I am keeping mine to myself for now. Still trying to form my opinions!
Perfection by Roper
Not often do I see a product image and love everything about it. Usually the styling leaves me wanting to make some changes. To put my own spin on it. Not today. This image by Roper is perfection. I am sold. Not only do I want the shirt, but I want the rest of the outfit too. I want to wear this as is.
The layered necklaces and silver buckle belt complement this shirt perfectly. As far as the shirt goes, this western style printed shirt is right up my ally. The black and white print is accented with hot pink stitching and velvet trim inside the collar. Velvet trim…details like that always sell me. The snaps on the front placket are black and the cuffs have 1 pink snap. Seriously…the details make it.
New Music Releases

Lots of singles have been released that you need to know about! I touched on a couple of Taylor Swift’s singles that have been released, but let me tell you about a few more. These are off her upcoming Red album: Begin Again, Red, and I Knew You Were Trouble. Out of the three, the one that I can’t seem to get out of my head is Red. Have a listen, you’ll see what I mean. However, what’s intriguing is that Taylor says I Knew You Were Trouble is one of her favorites off the album. So there’s that.

Gary Allen has a new single out called Every Storm (Runs out of Rain). Gary never disappoints, he’s got a great voice and puts out great songs.

Brad Paisley came out with a new single called Southern Comfort Zone. This song has a great message, you should definitely give it a listen.

American Heart is a new single out by Faith Hill. I’ve been waiting a long time for some new stuff by Faith Hill. Word is, her upcoming album has a soul sound and I think she does soul awesomely. I can’t wait!
October Style Watch
People Magazine also has an October Style Watch issue. I saw 2 things in it that made me smile…Levi’s, Levi’s and more Levi’s….and some Minnetonkas. Over and over in their jean guide they listed Levi’s jeans as a great value, a great fit and an overall great jean.
Both these brands also have great offerings for the men…and the kiddos!
Speaking of Minnetonka…check our facebook page for a giveaway link!!
Outerwear Explosion!
Did you scroll through our look book on Facebook this week? We have tons of new outerwear for men and women.
I think my favorite in the women’s is this Plaid Double Breasted Wool Coat.
Add skinny jeans and my red boots and I am set to wander around the lot looking for my perfect Christmas Tree. I am thinking hubs needs this Wilkes Brushed Broken Twill Coat so he can stay warm when he is out stringing up our holiday lights!
Can you tell I am ready for the holidays?!?!
Wear It: Change My Mind
Have you caught Billy Ray Cyrus’ latest video Change My Mind? This song has sort of a southern rock feel to it, almost like a Cross Canadian Ragweed sound. I’m definitely a fan. Check it out.
So what did y’all think? I think as Billy Ray gets older I like him more than his Achy Breaky Heart days. Whose with me on that? I’m also loving this rugged look Billy Ray is sporting in the video. Here’s how you too can pull off the rugged look via Langston’s!
Lucky Brand Men’s Dusty Boot Plaid Long Sleeve Workwear Shirt
Wrangler Men’s 936 Cowboy Cut Slim Fit Jeans – Charcoal
Twisted X Men’s Driving Mocs – Bomber
I’m a fan of his subtle plaid shirt with dusty jeans. Also, pay close attention to his boots, they are sorta moccasin-ish! We’ve hooked you up with the main pieces now you just add a solid color undershirt and a straw cowboy hat and you are set! Oh and some aviators for sure!
September Style Watch
The September issue of Style Watch by People Magazine had several trends that translate into country style.
Gold is on trend for Fall. This Ariat Zebra Sequin Dolman Tee has tons of trends in it – gold, animal print, sequins, dolman sleeves…yet they are combined flawlessly. It is stylish and wearable and not at all flashy. I love it paired with skinny jeans and heels for a night out, or under a classic suit for a more refined look.
Mixing classic with modern is a great look that is in style for fall. Pair a denim shirt with leather or lace to mix it up. This Stetson Chambray Shirt gives the look a bit of western glam.
This Ariat Shada boot was featured in the mag as a way to update your look for fall. They also suggested a western belt very close to this Ariat Reversible Belt. Of try this Ariat Charmed Collection one.
According to People, the jean of the month is burgundy skinnies. These Lucky Brand Sofia Skinny Jeans in Velvet Cherry fit the bill.
New Music Releases

Blake Shelton’s highly anticipated Christmas album comes out today. It’s called Cheers, It’s Christmas. This album has tons of classics and also duets. You can count on duets with his wife Miranda Lambert, her band Pistol Annies, Reba McEntire, Xenia, and Trypta-Phunk. He also reworks Michael Buble’s Home with a holiday feel and sings it as a duet. And in addition to all those duets, Shelton also sings with his very own mother on “Time For Me To Come Home”.
I pre-ordered this album y’all. We are definitely Blake Shelton fans here at Langston’s if you haven’t caught on to that yet. I’m also a huge fan of holiday music! I always start listening right after Thanksgiving, so I’m glad to have this in my arsenal!
I’ll leave you with this quote that I read via the Las Vegas Review-Journal regarding Shelton’s love for Christmas music:
…he’s a sucker for most Christmas tunes, “even the ones I don’t even know what they mean,” he said.
“There’s one on Anne Murray’s Christmas album, ‘Christmas In Killarney.’ I don’t even know where in the hell Killarney is, but it puts me in the damn Christmas mood. I listen to that one a lot.”
