New Music Releases

Toby Keith has his newest album coming out today called Hope On The Rocks. Keith is known for his more upbeat songs and/or patriotic songs for sure, but I have always been a huge fan of his slow songs since back in the day of “He Ain’t Worth Missing”. Is there anybody with me on that? I mean I think he’s got a great voice for slow songs!

So anyway, let’s talk about the new album shall we? You may have already heard of the single “I Like Girls That Drink Beer”. A lot of the songs are definitely some good old beer drinking songs of which Toby Keith wrote or co-wrote, and he produced the album as well. From the get go I’m loving “Hope On the Rocks” and “Haven’t Had a Drink All Day” (which is a super fast paced fun song). In addition to the new songs he’s also added some remixes of songs we all know along with some live versions like “Whiskey Girl” and “Get Out of My Car” which are definite must listens, though that last one is NSFW.

So go have a listen!

Miss Me Colored Jeans

I have written about the colored denim trend before and I am still in love with it. New for Fall we have a line of Miss Me colored jeans. They nailed it with the Fall colors. Where as the brights are still hot, I love the more muted jewel tones for Fall and Winter.

These burgundy jeans are on the top of my list…and these golden brown ones are next.

Miss Me also has versions in Cobalt Blue and Slate Gray.

What do you think? Which ones top your list?

Cruel Girl

This Cruel Girl Women’s Print Rayon Dress is one of those easy to wear, ready to go outfits. You know those days you have no idea what to wear? Throw this on. It is easy, yet perfect and cute! Add a belt, like this Ariat Women’s Western Collection Embossed Belt to define your waist and make the look a bit more polished. As far as boots, I’d keep them simple so you don’t fight the pattern on the dress. These Ariat boots would be perfect.

Cozy for winter

Are you ready for winter? I think with this outfit you are ready for anything the season brings. These Ariat Men’s M4 Relaxed Boot Leg Jeans are both comfortable and durable. Pair them with this Men’s Dickies Two Pack Short Sleeve Solid Pocket Tee Shirts in a rust color and then top it off with this Pendleton Men’s Diamond Desert Pullover Sweater. IT is 100% lambswool and features a chunky 3-gauge knit design I love the shawl collar and buffalo nickel-embossed metal buttons. And of course you need boots. Ariat Men’s 12″ Heritage Roughstock Cowboy Boots should work. Full-grain leather, 1 2″ shaft, 2″ heel, and square toe. Plus they have Goodyear® welt construction, ATS® footbed, and Duratread™ outsole. What more do you need?

Wear It: Time Is Love

Have you seen cutie patootie Josh Turner’s latest video, Time Is Love? The song has a great message to it AND you get to stare at his super cute face the entire time in the video. Check it out!

See what I mean? Now lets get down to the style this dude has, I mean he’s got a NICE look in my opinion. Very clean, fitted, classic style. EVERY guy around can pull this look off and will look SHARP. And in the words of ZZ Top…everybody’s crazy bout a sharp dressed man! So here’s how I’d do it the Langston’s way…

Panhandle Slim Men’s Long Sleeve Check Button Down Western Shirt – Royal Blue
Lucky Brand Men’s 181 Relaxed Straight Jeans – Love Train
Miller Ranch Men’s Fleece Lined Jacket – Black
Dan Post Men’s Raleigh 13″ Lizard Foot Boots – Black

So what do you think about his look? I gotta say, I think Josh Turner has get all the rest of the guys beat. He looks HOT! Who do you think is on fire these days?

New Music Releases

Two new albums out today by Jason Aldean and Jamey Johnson.

Jason Aldean’s Night Train is his fifth album and is definitely a southern rock album. This is Aldean’s follow up to My Kinda Party which was a huge success for him and basically put him on the map as a big time artist. You’ll find some familiar guys on “The Only Way I Know” when Aldean sings with Luke Bryan and Eric Church. Check that one out along with “1994″ and “Take a Little Ride”.

Jamey Johnson’s Living for a Song is a Tribute to Hank Cochran. This is Johnson’s follow up to The Guitar Song in 2010. We heard a little bit of Johnson’s love for Cochran on The Guitar Song with “Set ‘Em Up Joe”. Living for a Song has a lot of duets, so many that I can’t even list them all, though I’ll give you some highlights: George Strait, Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Lee Ann Womack, Ray Price, Asleep at the Wheel and more! Definitely check out The Eagle, which is the duet with George Strait.
