Ok, all you bluegrass fans! We’ve got an album for you coming out today. Ricky Skaggs’ Music To My Ears comes out today. It’s a mix of bluegrass, gospel and a little bit of pop mixed in with his mandolin playing. You’ll even hear a little bit of Barry Gibb on one of the tracks.

Also coming out today is a new single off Taylor Swift’s Red album called “Begin Again”. She was on Good Morning America yesterday with a preview and told that it’s a song about starting over after a break up. I will definitely be checking this one out today.

Three releases are coming out today. Dwight Yoakum’s 3 Pears is the first.
This is Yoakum’s first album since 2007. It’s a great album. These are my must listens: “Take Hold of My Hand”, “It’s Never Alright”, “Dim Lights, Thick Smoke”.
Next up is Easton Corbin’s All Over The Road. This is Corbin’s second album, his first being self-titled and producing such hits as “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It”. These are my must listens off this traditional country album: “All Over the Road,” “Lovin’ You Is Fun,” “That’s Gonna Leave a Memory”.
And last on the list of new albums today, the latest from Big & Rich. Hillbilly Jedi is the first album in five years for Big & Rich while they each pursued solo albums during that time. This is definitely fun album with some ballads thrown in for good measure. You should definitely check out: “Party Like Cowboyz” and “Lay It All on Me”.

I wasn’t going to recap The Voice this season…and I still don’t plan to…but how could I not at least post once (or a few times…). Did you check out the first 3 nights? Team Blake has lots of country goodness on it. Gracia is a yodeler! So cool. Casey Musicman…wait, it’s really Muessigmann – but still. And then the mother daughter duo Two Steel Girls. Lots of country love.
Mamma Steel was rocking some over the knee boots. These Ariat 15″ boots are a more wearable, every day verses on stage, version of the high boot look.
The daughter was in a fun and age appropriate dress. It reminded me of this Mystree Eyelet Style Embroidered one.Come to think of it, Gracia was too. She rocked her’s with brown boots. From what I could tell they were pretty plain and not much detail which worked well with her dress. These Pecos ones are similar.
As far as Mr. MusicMan – he rocked an embroidered shirt. It wasn’t this Rockmount Ranch Wear one, but it should have been.
