Wear It: I’ll Be Home For Christmas

I’ll Be Home for Christmas is high on my list of favorite holiday songs for sure. And I just love this video by Craig Campbell, it definitely tears at the heart strings.

Now that you can’t see for all the tears, let’s talk about Craig’s outfit. It’s definitely holiday casual at it’s best. Here’s how I’d do it Langston’s style:

Lucky Men’s Wild Wood Dobby Western Snap Shirt – Red Multi
Men’s Dickies Sanded Duck Sherpa Lined Jacket
Petrol Men’s Bradley Mid Rise Straight Leg Jeans – Dark Stonewash
Men’s Justin Bent Rail 11″ Medium Round Toe Cowboy Boots – Puma Tan
I LOVE LOVE that shirt, so I think each and every one of you need to go ahead and buy that now. I mean I might even buy one for myself. You can’t go wrong with a red plaid western snap shirt! And that jacket is just classic, timeless…it will never go out of style.

So tell me, who do you want to see featured next on Wear It? I want to know!

Country Christmas Music

Everybody still rocking along to their favorite Christmas music? Are we ready for Christmas? Can I get a hell yeah?! Ok, now that I’ve gotten everybody riled up, let me tell you about a great traditional Christmas album by none other than Ms Wynonna herself. If you don’t have A Classic Christmas by Wynonna that she released back in 2006, YOU NEED TO! This is about as old fashioned as it gets. All of these songs are definite classic holiday tunes and Christmas carols. If you are looking to just add a couple of songs to your mix these are definite must haves off this album: O Holy Night, O Come O Come Emmanuel, The Christmas Song and Ave Maria. You’ve never heard anything like this before…especially Ave Maria. Excellent Excellent songs Wynonna has performed here.

So tell me, what are you listening to right now? What are your favorite country Christmas tunes? I want to know!

Christmas Outfit

I would rock this at any Christmas party, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day…all three….really. This is one of those cute and comfy outfits. Sleek and sheik, but still easy to wear. Fun and flirty but still appropriate for any occasion.

This Allison Brittney Women’s 3/4 Sleeve Flyaway Cardigan comes in several colors. I picked black because I wanted to pair it with these boots by Lane. These amazingly festive, yet totally great all year long, boots by Lane.  Boots like this can of course be worn under bootcut jeans, but if you want to show them off more, try them with jeggings. Some people shy away from jeggings, but paired with a longer tank or tee, and this flyaway cardigan, they are perfect and easy to wear. No need to be a size zero or work out 12 times a day, this look works on lots of figures! It flatter in all the right spots, and has a bit of camouflage in the other spots. What do you think? Did I nail it with this look or totally miss the mark?

Wear It: I Just Want to Be With You For Christmas

I thought I’d do a holiday version of Wear It this week! Today I’m going to show you an adorable outfit Katie Armiger is wearing in her “I Just Want to Be With You For Christmas” video. Check it out and then we’ll discuss:

So, basically this outfit entails a plaid tunic-y type of top, a tank underneath, some skinny jeans/jeggings/leggings and some boots. Well, ladies, Langston’s has all these things! Check them out!

Roper Women’s Long Sleeve Plaid Shirt Dress with Floral Print – Black
Witness Women’s Lace Cami
Levi’s ® 524 ™ Women’s Skinny Jeans – Black Pressed
Dingo Women’s Emma 9″ Harness Boots – Black
So what do y’all think? Personally, I think this outfit is TURBO cute! I’d just add a little cropped jacket, scarf and beret like she has in the beginning of the video and BAM, outfit is totally duplicated and maybe even a little cuter if I do say so myself.

Country Christmas Music

Lee Ann Womack’s A Season for Romance is by far one of my favorite country Christmas albums. I love each and every song on it and I have listened to it over and over every year since she came out with it in 2002 and it never gets old. Never. Probably the most popular song from this album is The Man with the Bag, which is a totally upbeat fun song. There’s also a rendition of Baby, It’s Cold Outside with Harry Connick, Jr that I LOVE. They both have a bluesy vibe going in and their voices go great together for that song. A few of my other favorites are The Season for Romance, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve. But honestly, you just need to buy the whole album because I guarantee you’ll love every single song on there. Have I steered you wrong yet???

Cowboy Boots + Leg Warmers

I’m in love with this picture above, specifically the bright colored leg warmers.  I’m also in love with cowboy boots, as we all know. I’m thinking I need to pair up some shorty cowboy boots with some leg warmers or cuffs via etsy and some jeggings. What say you?

Dingo Women’s Adobe Rose 7″
Ariat Women’s Shada Cowboy Boots 9″
Ariat Women’s Coloma 8″
Dingo Women’s Metro 7″
Corral Women’s Eagle Stitched Distressed Crackle Saddle Boots 10″

So what do you think? Do you like this look? Are you a fan of the leg warmer comeback? Because I’m ready to purchase all these boots STAT along with several boot cuffs off etsy.

For the girls.

For today’s Employee Pick, I am the one picking. I spent some time this Thanksgiving with my niece, actually a few of them….so I have girlie clothes on the brain. All the pink and glitter is so fun. I wanted to put together an outfit that had those, things in it, but that was also wearable and easy. It all starts with this Rock and Roll Cowgirl Girl’s 2-Fer T-Shirt with Winged Heart and Roses. I mean seriously, how cute is this shirt?? The black tee is paired with blue sleeves and bunches of bling and attitude all on a comfy 100% cotton base.

A tee like that needs some sturdy jeans to tone it down. Wrangler Girl’s “Cash” Cowgirl Cut Ultimate Riding Jeans – American Spirit (Sizes 7-14) are just the ticket. These jeans are great for riding, they have the perfect rise, plus flat seams and a vented bootcut. But they aren’t just for riding, they are a great every day jean too.

Those boot cut jeans need some boots. I love when boots have a fun shaft. Even if it stays hidden a lot, I know it is there. These Ariat Quickdraw Kids Boots – Brown/Giraffe Print are perfect. They feature a double stitch welt with a TPR outsole and 4LR technology and a fun giraffe pattern shaft.

It’s getting cold here in OKC, so some outerwear is needed for sure. Cruel Girl Girl’s Vest with Rhinestone Snaps – Pink is something I wish I could find in my size! I know a necklace might be overkill on this outfit, but I couldn’t resist picking out this Kid’s Lil Chick Multi Colored Chip Necklace with Flower Beads.

Wear It: Drink In My Hand

We’ve had a request for some Eric Church duds! So let’s all check out the video Drink In My Hand by Mr Eric Church first!

So, dude is pretty hot right? In that bad boy smokey kind of way? Am I right? I am, trust me. Anyway, he’s super casual in this video with layered tees, jeans and boots. Here’s how I’d do it in the Langston’s way:

Southern Thread Men’s Short Sleeve Band T-Shirt – Black
Men’s Dickies Long Sleeve Solid Pocket Tee Shirt
Rock and Roll Cowboy Men’s Slim Fit Boot Cut Pistol Jeans
Stetson Men’s Handmade Distressed Eagle Underlay Cowboy Boots – Grey/Brown
So there you have it folks…the Eric Church! I’m definitely a fan of the long sleeve tee under the short sleeve tee. It’s casual but it shows you have a bit of fashion sense. And the jeans, I’m definitely in love with Langston’s Rock and Roll jeans…the wash and the stitch…love it! And these boots..GUYS! You NEED these boots!!

Hope you enjoyed this week’s Wear It! PLEASE continue sending in requests for who you want to see!
