In keeping with the Man Week theme, I checked out what is new online for men…

David Nail releases “The Sound of a Million Dreams” today, his sophomore album and follow up to “I’m About to Come Alive” which won him a Grammy nomination for Best Male Vocal Country Performance for “Turning Home” and an Academy of Country Music Award nomination for Single of the Year for “Red Light”. This new album was produced by Frank Liddell and Chuck Ainlay.

I LOVED “I’m About to Come Alive”, it was one of those albums where there was not one bad song on it. If you don’t have that album then you definitely need it. I have been anticipating this new album and it looks very promising!

At first listen, these are the songs I think you should check out Songs For Sale(with Lee Ann Womack), Let It Rain, That’s How I’ll Remember You and The Sound of a Million Dreams.

Luke Bryan has a new video out and he’s showing off his acting chops. I’m always intrigued by videos that leave you with a “To Be Continued” in the end, which this video does. Luke Bryan plays the country star who meets a girl, falls for her, and….oh well I don’t want to give it away! Watch for yourself!

This week our pick is from Donna. Can anyone read the name Donna without singing the Richie Valens song in their head? I know I can’t. Donna’s pick starts with the jeans. “The jeans are gorgeous. I love the wash and the stitching on the back pockets.” The jeans are Cruel Girl Women’s Grace Low Rise Skinny Jeans – Dark Stonewash. They featuring a dark stonewash, permanganate, hand sanding, whiskers, tacking, tint, chevrons, 11.25 Oz stretch denim skinny leg, and a low rise. Seriously, what else could you want or need in a jean?

Paired with the Cruel Girl jeans, this Cruel Girl Women’s Long Sleeve Print Crew Neck T-Shirt – Cream. It is long sleeve, crew neck, and has rhinestone accents all over. It is 50% cotton making it soft and 50% polyester to make it last. Donna said, “I picked the shirts because its nice and casual.”

As for the details, a  Western Charm Women’s Charm Necklace – Silver Tone and Lane Boots Women’s ‘Wild Ginger’ Cowboy Boots – Black. “I picked the necklace because it was simple and casual like the shirt.” And as far as the boots…. “The boots are beautiful.” Enough said.

Ok…here’s my little homage to the Muppets…

Kermit the Frog Green – Barn Fly Men’s Long Sleeve Magestic Elk Western Button Down Shirt I think Kermit would like that the brand is Barn Fly.

Fozzie Bear Brown – Minnetonka Moccasin – Women’s Calf Hi Brown Suede Fringe Boots Soft, fuzzy and brown, just like Fozzie.

Miss Piggy Pink – Cowgirl Up Girl’s “I Make Dirt Look Good” T-Shirt I mean really….”I make dirt look good”…on a pink tee? This was made for this project.

Animal Red – Lane Boots Women’s ‘Margaret’ Cowboy Boots These boots command attention, just like Animal!

Gonzo Blue – Rock and Roll Cowgirl Women’s Star and Feathers T-Shirt. I always think of Gonzo as having some bling to him, so this tee works well.

Pepe Purple – Stetson Men’s Long Sleeve Plaid Button Down Western Shirt Why do I have no idea who Pepe is?

I will for sure be taking my son to see the Muppets when it comes out. How about you? Are you excited for it too?

 

New Music Releases

Joe Nichols has a new album out today entitled “It’s All Good“. This is his sixth studio album and his first since 2009. “It’s All Good” is produced by Mark Wright and Buddy Cannon. This album features a lot of great songwriters such as Dallas Davidson, David Lee Murphy and Rhett Akins. Joe is a pretty traditional artist compared to a lot of other country artists, if you aren’t familiar with his work. If you like George Strait, you’ll most likely like Joe Nichols.

The songs I would definitely take a listen to off this album are “I Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” (which has backing vocals by Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski), Never Gonna Get Enough, How I Wanna Go. That last song I definitely want to take a listen to a few more times. So go check it out, let us know what you think!

What are you listening to right now? I know I’m still listening to last week’s new release by Miranda Lambert. The songs that I’m L.O.V.I.N.G. off Miranda’s album are Mama’s Broken Heart, Fine Tune and Over You.

Today I’m going to be setting you up with Kellie Pickler’s outfit in her latest video “Tough”. Y’all this is a very basic outfit, but I gotta tell you, there aint nothing sexier than a white tank, jeans and boots. Check it out:

So what did I tell you? I mean hotcha hotcha right? Basically Kellie has on a basic white tank with several long necklaces, distressed jeans and boots. So here’s how I would put this outfit together Langston’s style:

Miss Me Women’s Knit Burnout Split Strap Racer Back Tank Top – White This top gives you the same effect but because it has the embellishment on it already, you won’t need as many necklaces as Kellie has on.

Women’s Corral Boots with Rose Embroidery & Sequin Horseshoes I can’t tell you what her boots are, but I’m going to pick out a pair that I think go with the entire theme of the outfit/video. These Corral boots are feminine yet still “tough”.
