So, do you bust out the Christmas music at the holidays? And if so, who are your favorites? I want to know!! I would love to add to MY ongoing list of holiday music. Next week I’ll share with you my all time favorite Christmas album.
Remember when we told you about Blake Shelton coming out with a cover of Footloose? Well today we are gonna deconstruct Blake Shelton’s outfit in the video. It’s super casual, yet good looking….
All of the pieces that Blake wears in the video are AWESOME basics that I think every dude should own. So if you don’t own one or all of these pieces, run don’t walk to the Langston’s site and hit checkout! This is the outfit you should add piece by piece to your cart:
There are no new album releases today but I do have a few new singles that have come out recently that you should DEFINITELY be aware of.
First up, Faith Hill’s comeback single, Come Home. Faith performed this song on the CMA Awards a couple of weeks ago. This was the first time she’d been on that show in five years. I’m a big Faith Hill fan and I thought she did fantastic!
Next, Taylor Swift, our current Entertainer of the Year and now Artist of the Year. She released a few singles as well as a concert CD/DVD. I gotta say, there’s not much bad you can say about Taylor Swift. She writes every note and lyric and performs and is a good role model for all the young girls that love her so. Here are some songs you definitely need to check out that she’s released lately: Ours, If This Was A Movie, Superman, Medley: Back to December/Apologize/You’re Not Sorry.
Up this week is Jared…it is after all a week of men’s clothes around here on the blog, so a men’s pick seemed only fitting. I think this look starts with the boots, Ariat® Men’s Rambler Boots – Earth / Brown Bomber. These boots are casual and have that worn in look. They are not fancy or pretentious, they are real and tough. They are classic. Besides looking good, they are made with Ariat’s ATS technology which gives three times the support of normal cowboy boots. They also have the Ariat Rambler’s EVA footbed and forefoot cushion gel which reduces stress on hips, knees and back. I wonder if I can wear these? Jared said, “I like the worn look to them, and also the wide square toe for extra comfort.”
Paired with the boots, Lucky Men’s Camino Plaid Western Snap Shirt – Brown and Ariat Men’s Bomber Vest – Brown. The vest is brown faux leather with poly fill insulation It has a zip down front with a snap down closure, plus two zipper hand pockets. “With the colder weather approaching, this vest is perfect to layer over any long sleeve shirt.” And the shirt. I am in love with this shirt. Jared is too, he said, “The brown plaid print all over this shirt gives it a great look. I would wear the sleeves rolled up for a casual style.”
And to round out the look, Levi’s ® Men’s 527 ™ Boot Cut Jeans – Indie Blue. This jean is a boot cut jean with a 19.75″ boot cut leg opening that fits perfectly over boots. As Jared put it, “You can’t go wrong with these dark wash jeans to go with my boots.” These jeans are a must for any man with boots.
As you’ve seen, this is Man Week on the Langston’s blog! So I thought I’d take take us back a couple of years and feature the ultimate MAN on the country scene, the king, George Strait! Take a look for yourself in George’s Troubadour video at his style through the years, dude is a SHARP DRESSED MAN!
George has always had a very clean cut style, which I love! Most of the time you will see him in a solid color shirt, starched jeans, belt and boots with either a straw or felt hat. It’s a classic look that will never die. Here’s how I would do it Langston’s style.
