Employee Picks – Week 10

This week our picks are from Athena.

For herself, Athena chose these Derek Heart tank tops.  Althena said, “tank tops are my favorite thing to wear. I love all the colors that these come in. They are [erfect for Spring and Summer.” I agree with her. These are a great staple item. You can layer them under sweaters and button up tops in Fall and Winter, and leave them solo in the Spring and Summer. They are 100% cotton, and for aded compfort they are tagless!

Athena also picked these great Rock and Roll Cowgirl Jeans. She chose them for the dark rinse and the nailhead trim on the pocket flaps, belt loops, and front pockets. They are 98% cottom with 2% spandex, so they fit great all day long.

Athena picked this men’s necklace becuase it reminds her of one her brother has. This could be a gift for him, or she could for sure rock it herself.

These great Kids boots were her last pick for this week. These boots feature a double stitch welt with a TPR outsole and 4LR technology. Once again our new items page has too many items!! Too many great ones to round up in a post that is. How about this vest!!?!?

Man, this is beautiful!! This Fur Wrap Vest by Ariat is amazing. I know several Fashion Bloggers who would be dying to get their hands on this. The waist tie is the perfect thing to cinch you in and give you a flattering waste.

The Men’s Levi’s page is overflowing. New jeans, new cords – lots to check out. These cords are my favorite. Such a great option to have in your closet. I think the Demitasse color is a great go-to color. Neutral, easy to pair with almost any shirt, good for all seasons.

Sonny Tackett Band

I love it when a customer writes in to tell us how much they love the purchase that they made. We value every one of our customers and love to hear from them. Even cooler…when one of those customers is a musician who wears our clothing on stage! Last week we got an e-mail from Sonny Tackett. He told us that in addition to playing all over the world, he also is a songwriter who has had many hits by an assortment of artist, and has had fifty eight of his songs covered by signed artists like Gary Stewart, Tommy Overstreet and Michael Allman. Very cool. He wears many of the brands we carry including Stetson, Panhandle Slim, Nocona and Tony Lama. He even shared a picture…

This is from a festival called Hillbilly Days in Pikeville Ky that he recently played. You can find Sonny on his Facebook page and soon on his Summer Tour.

This week we have Buddy. His advice is priceless and cracks me up. Funny, yes – but I also can’t say that I don’t agree with him!

Buddy says, “It’s 2011 and you want your cowgirl to be fly whether she is sitting in the stands cheering you on, or out there winning with the rest of the girls. I made these choices because it is what’s going on today.”

According to Buddy , “In this, you’ll get everyone’s attention, trust me. So ladies don’t be afraid to step outside the box, andtry something new. LOOK GOOD AT ALL TIMES !!!!” Ah, pearls of wisdom aren’t they?

I have to tell you, this combo makes me smile. The slight yellow accent on the blue shirt paired with the pink of the boots. It is unexpected, yet totally works. Plus the shirt is 100% cotton and extra comfortable. The detailing on the belt adds a bit of shine and kind of wakes everything up. Well done Buddy. Can’t wait to see what outfit you pick out for the men!

I wanted to share with you guys exciting news from Ariat about Quincy…

“Ariat’s very own Quincy from the Quincy Collection won an exciting title this week on the college rodeo circuit!!! We are proud to congratulate her on winning the All Around Cowgirl at the 71st annual 2011 Poly Royal Rodeo. The all around award  is the most prestigious title a woman  can win with college rodeo- out of all the women competing she accumulated the most points in all of her events. She competes in barrel racing, breakaway roping, team roping, and goat tying. Quincy competed this weekend in the Holy Rose, Nevada Lily, and Bronco Billie boots!! Quincy is well on her way to qualifying for this year’s National College Rodeo finals.”

Wow! Way to go!!!! And speaking of that Quincy Collection…here is a preview of the styles we will be carrying…

The Women’s boot features a premium full-grain leather foot and shaft, Goodyear® leather welt and leather lining. The eclectic design combines screen print, studs and Swarovski crystals.  This boot will be available late August/Early September for $349.97.

The Men’s boot  also features a premium full-grain leather foot and shaft, they are resoleable and have Goodyear® welt Leather lining.  The  design combines screen print, embroidery and rhinestones. These will be available August/September as well and will be listed at $299.97.
